[24 Mar 2011 | No Comment ]

The Good Food Guide has opened nominations for its Restaurant of the Year Award and THAI EDGE wants your votes!

The award recognises culinary excellence and good service at restaurants, pubs and cafés throughout the UK.  Members of the public are invited to nominate their favourite independently-owned establishments in their area; those that offer regional dishes and use local produce.

If you like what Thai Edge offers, please vote for them via the online feedback form.  Nominations can be made until 29th April 2011.   Each nomination will be entered into a prize draw to win a fantastic dinner for two.

Ten regional award winners will feature in the Good Food Guide 2012; the overall winner will be chosen by a panel of experts led by the editors of the Guide.

Elizabeth Carter, The Good Food Guide’s Consultant Editor, said: ‘Championing fresh, local produce and supporting great independent restaurants are the heart of what The Good Food Guide does.  Our Restaurant of the Year awards are a great way of recognising and rewarding outstanding cooking and exemplary service and provide members of the public with a chance to have their say in finding the best the UK has to offer.’

SOUTH WALES ECHO REVIEW

[10 Aug 2010 | No Comment ]

Margaret O’Reilly said…”Thai waitresses in rich rich purples traditional dress add a splash of colour to the restaurant and their elegance and grace add to the tranquil atmosphere. The cooling, soothing decor seems the perfect balance for the hot and spicy food on offer on a menu that has a helpful chilli count to help you choose.”

THAI EDGE – THE BEST IN THE BREWERY QUARTER

[28 May 2009 | No Comment ]

Thai Edge remains the best place in Cardiff’s Old Brewery Quarter – but that would be damning with faint praise. The set lunch was fantastic value; we had Tom Yam and Tom Kha soups followed by green and red curries, with rice. A Pinot Grigio was less than £14 but that still meant we spent as much on alcohol as we did on the food! On a sunny day in the capital [well, OK, it was freezing, but the sky was blue], this is a great place to sit at a window and watch the world go by…

CUSTOMER REVIEW AT THAI EDGE CARDIFF

[28 May 2009 | No Comment ]

This was our second time to Thai Edge in Cardiff – great food, the Salmon Choo Chee Pla was excellent. Service was excellent, they were very attentive and friendly and brought the birthday cake I made for my sister with extra flower decorarions. Very sweet. Highly recommend this place – better than any chain place in the Brewery 1/4.
